CT-GUIDED EUFLEXXA® INJECTIONS
Dr Glenn & Partners provides CT-guided Euflexxa® injections across our Kogarah, Rockdale and Wollongong clinics for the management of symptomatic knee osteoarthritis.
Euflexxa consists of highly purified hyaluronan (sodium hyaluronate), a key component of synovial fluid. In osteoarthritic joints, hyaluronan concentration and molecular weight decline, contributing to reduced lubrication and increased mechanical stress.
Treatment is administered as a course of three CT-guided intra-articular injections, typically spaced two weeks apart. Completion of the full course may provide sustained symptom improvement in patients who have not achieved adequate response to conservative management.

Euflexxa treatment is delivered over three sessions, typically spaced two weeks apart.
At each appointment:
- CT imaging is used to accurately guide the injection
- The procedure is performed in a sterile clinical environment
- The injection is completed quickly, with minimal discomfort
You may feel a brief sting from the local anaesthetic or mild pressure during the injection. Most patients return to normal activities shortly afterwards.
After your procedure, a report will be sent to your referring doctor.
- Duration of relief: Euflexxa may provide symptom relief for up to 6 months, whereas steroid injections often provide shorter-term relief.

Euflexxa may not be suitable if you:
- Have had a previous allergic reaction to hyaluronan products
- Have a joint infection or infection near the injection site
- Are pregnant (as it has not been tested in pregnancy)
Please discuss your medical history with your doctor prior to treatment.
